Improving Documentation Under PDGM - On-Demand

Available ON-DEMAND

Presented on:
Tuesday, August 11, 2020

Detailed documentation is the key to PDGM success, and early results show agencies are missing the mark. During this webinar, you will discover tips and tricks for obtaining better information from physicians, including how to create a compliant query and when a query is (and isn’t) appropriate. You’ll learn how to “lead from the middle” and help clinicians understand exactly what information coders need from documentation. Plus, you’ll get insight into ways to obtain more detail from intake and how to work with coding managers and QA staff to get this information.

At the conclusion of this program, participants will be able to:

  • Get better documentation from clinicians and physicians
  • Learn to sleuth through the documentation to make sure codes are being assigned correctly
  • Determine when to query vs. when not to query

  • Getting better documentation from clinicians and physicians
  • Recognizing the pieces of documentation required for a compliant claim
  • Identifying ways coding and documentation impact compliance
  • When to query vs. when not to query
  • Revving up documentation for agency review
  • How to support the codes you have chosen
