While many requirements under the new Home Health Conditions of Participation (CoP) went into effect in January, there’s still time to prepare for a crucial part of the QAPI requirement, which takes effect July 13.

QAPI is one of the most important CoP changes for agencies. In fact, home health experts contend surveyors are likely to pay close attention to how agencies comply with the QAPI requirement, including Performance Improvement Projects (PIP). But because of the flexibility around what PIPs should look like, many agencies are confused or overwhelmed by the requirement. Also, the CoP draft interpretive guidelines state that agencies should have one PIP in development, ongoing, or completed every calendar year.

During this on-demand webinar, expert speaker J'non Griffin, RN, MHA, WCC, HCS-D, HCS-H, COS-C, will teach participants how to craft, monitor, and implement a PIP to take their agency to the next level. She will also explain how to determine when it’s time to make changes to a PIP and when it’s time to implement a new project.

At the conclusion of this on-demand program, participants will be able to:

  • Identify the best way to determine their PIPs
  • Assemble a PIP and monitor the project once it’s in place
  • Determine when changes need to be made, when to continue with a PIP, and when it’s time to retire a PIP and start a new one
