The course introduces staff, whether they are clinical or administrative, to the foundations of OASIS. The key to completing the OASIS accurately is understanding its importance and relatability to key rules and guidance for the operation of home health. Due to the myriad uses of the OASIS, a lack of understanding and appreciation for it can be detrimental to an agency, resulting in both financial and outcomes losses.

Meet the Speaker

Arlynn HansellArlynn Hansell, PT, HCS-D, HCS-H, HCS-O, COS-C, Director of Education, Coding and OASIS Division, for SimiTree

Hansell has been a physical therapist in the home health and SNF settings since October 1998, holding positions of therapist, rehab manager, and quality/compliance assurance. She is a past member of the American Physical Therapy Association, where she served as the Vice President of the Home Health Section. Hansell also served on the AHCC board as the BMSC liaison where she managed the creation and editing of the HCS-D, HCS-O, HCS-H certification exams.
