Meet the Speaker
Beau Sorensen is the director of finance and operations at First Choice Home Health and Hospice in Orem, Utah. He has over 25 years of experience in home health and hospice and has extensive knowledge of healthcare systems and processes. Sorensen is an expert in healthcare IT and has worked with organizations across the U.S. to help them better utilize their EMRs and the data in their systems. He has also worked with Allscripts to test and develop major new features in their Homecare application, including integrations that allow for a fully electronic medical record. These efforts led to his agency being one of the first in the nation to have a fully electronic medical record. Sorensen is actively involved in the home care and hospice community and has served as legislative director and president for the Utah Association for Home Care, in addition to being on the Home Health Financial Managers Association Advisory Board and the National Association for Homecare and Hospice’s Finance Committee and Advocacy Council.
